Brilliance – Based upon the short story ‘Brilliance‘, ‘Brilliance’ the screenplay delves further along the line between genius and insanity by taking the audience deeper into the mind of a serial killer who did it all for love.
At 15 pages, ‘Brilliance’ is a short film.
Sisterhood of the Sword – “We are the quiet strength found in every village, in every country, across the world.” These are the inspiring words spoken by Catarina Espiridion to the women of her village just before they ride out into the woods to defend themselves against a mercenary attack with little more than old, broken swords to protect them.
‘Sisterhood of the Sword’ takes place in a time of war and religious strife and is set against the beautiful backdrop of the Catalonia region of Spain. When Charles V calls the men off to war, a group of mercenaries led by a fanatic hell-bent on revenge takes advantage of the undefended villages. Catarina’s village catches wind of the attacks. Instead of running, the women decide to fight back in spite of their lack of training or adequate weaponry.
Being hailed as the female version of ‘Braveheart’, ‘Sisterhood of the Sword’ features a compelling plot combined with drama, action, and strong female characters. It is inspired by an actual medieval order of female Catalonian knights providing it with a good blend of history and modern day storytelling. ‘Sisterhood of the Sword’ was a quarterfinalist in the 2008 PAGE Awards and has received a ‘Consider’ rating from ScriptSavvy.com.
At 109 pages, ‘Sisterhood of the Sword’ is a feature length screenplay.
